Colourful Moss at Morden Bog in October
I am still going through my old shots, and I came across this one of some moss taken at Morden Bog near Wareham around October last year. Even at this time of year it proves you can still find some colourful plants to take.
The shot was taken at 1x magnification on my Zuiko Olympus OM 80mm F4 macro lens, and at the time I was experimenting with manual flash instead of automatic TTL (through the lens) flash metering for my Olympus OM T28 twin flash heads. Here I used a manual setting of GN14 on the flash unit. I did not add any Olympus OM T32 filters in front of the Olympus OM T28 twin flash heads, which I have normally been using for diffusing the light.
I am having a long running saga to understand and control the amount light being put down on a subject with macro flash, and if there is anyone out there (if it is you!) or you know of a site the explains how to master the art of manual flash, particularly for the Olympus OM series, please get in touch via my contact link right at the top of my website.
