Early Purple Orchid (Orchis mascula) at Kingcombe Meadow

Kingcombe Meadow, one of Dorset Wildlife Trusts nature reserves, is not only a good place to go for butterflies, it is also good for wild flowers, including the Early purple orchid (Orchis mascula). This shot was taken with the Zuiko Olympus OM 90mm F2 macro lens at a wide open aperture of F2 in May of last year (2009).
