Jungfraubahn 2007 Picture 4 revisited

I posted my Jungfraubahn 2007 shots onto a photo forum site, where it was pointed out that the last of the set (picture 4) had a very distinct blue colour cast. Several people were kind enough to provide helpful tips. In the end I created a new colour balance adjustment layer, selected the highlights tone and moved the slides until I was happy with the results. You can also reduce the opacity of the adjustment, but I didn’t in this instance.

This is the result.

  • That’s really effective Pete. Maybe still a bit blue on far snow, but it’s a real improvement.

Could you do a step by step tutorial of how you did it ? I’d be interested to know as it looks a great way of removing unwanted casts that you can pick up when photographing in mountains and the like.

      Hi Mike,

Thanks for your comment. You may be right on the bit of blue on the far snow, although may be shadow. It gives me an excuse to give it another try and so also attempt my first step by step tutorial.

I will attempt it this weekend and post up as soon as possible
