White Mill
I have visited White Mill over the last few weeks, which always seems to be a good place to find bugs to macro. This time around the weather has been unseasonally cold so I think the emergence of beetles etc has been put on hold (or hiding away) so most of the pictures here are of flies, and a very unusual one that I have not seen before.
The unusual one being that of a Thick-headed fly (Myopa buccata)

I also found a Nomada bee, also seems to be known as a Cuckoo bee, and appear to rest by using their jaws to clamp to leaves as shown in a couple of these shots.

Your fly is a hoverfly as well. Most likely Leucozona lucorum.
