Normandy Marsh, Lymington
Took a trip to Normandy Marsh by Lymington on Easter Sunday, to see what winter birdlife remained around with the weather still being unseasonably cold. The marsh still had a few different kinds of wader birds, including several Ringed Plovers (Charadrius hiaticula), Black-tailed Godwits (Limosa limosa), Dunlin (Calidris alpina), a Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) and a Little Egret (Egretta garzetta). All photo’s using the Sigma 50-500 lens on the E620 Olympus camera at F9.

With the next shot I managed to capture the Black-tailed Godwit with an eye to eye reflection as it hunted for food.
Found one of the Dunlin wading along the inlet stream in front of the marsh, and was able to get very close.

and a couple of the Little Egret and again able to get nice and close.
My favourite of the two is the last as it shows the Little Egret fishing in its environment.
