Stanpit Marsh nature reserve
Today, dull grey winter day, saw a visit to Stanpit Marsh nature reserve to find that the tide was out as far as I had ever seen it, allowing sight of all the side bars in the channels & bay. The main wildlife around today were wildfowl (Teal, Wigeon & Brent Geese) & waders (Godwit, Curlew, Lapwing, & Dunlin).
These are the best from the day.
In the grass
A Teal (Anas crecca).
A Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa)
Brent Geese (Branta leucopsis)
Wading
A Little Egret (Egretta garzetta)
A Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus)
