The British Wildlife Centre
This weekend saw a visit to a new location, the British Wildlife Centre in Surrey. It advertises that it has the finest collection of native wildlife in Britain, with over forty different native species from tiny harvest mice to magnificent red deer.
It’s worth noting that this place is not open to the public all year round, it opens every weekend & public holiday of the year, (excl. 25/26 Dec) and daily during state school holidays. It cost me £11 as an adult to get in, and does have reasonably good facilities. This is the link to their web site home page where you can find more information.
The site is a reasonable size, and I found it offered both excellent photo opportunities of the wildlife at the centre and interesting talks from the Keeps at regular intervals during the day.
The weather on the day was cold & grey so not all of the wildlife were on show, these shots are the best from an enjoyable day.
