Blashford Lakes nature reserve on Mothers Day
Met up with my Mum at Blashford Lakes nature reserve on this Mothers day, had a very enjoyable time. Here are a few shots from the day including my first Female Brambling (Fringilla montifringilla) located at the Woodland Hide, scrounging below one of the feeders.

The Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita) are also present, singing their distinctive song. This is the best I got, my first, although not brilliant, as they tend to predominately sit on top of tall trees.

There were also several Wrens (Troglodytes troglodytes) about.
