Betws-y-Coed Llyn Elsi Walk
Visited Betws-y-Coed to take the walk to Llyn (aka Lake) Elsi whilst on the recent short break to North Wales. Stopped off at Llanberis before making the trip to Betws-y-Coed to check out if it was worth going up Snowdon. Unfortunately, the mountain was covered in cloud, although did take the opportunity to take this panorama at the side of Llyn Padarn.

The route we followed to Llyn Elsi from Betws-y-Coed proved to be not too difficult, starting out with a walk beside the river that runs through Betws-y-Coed to the Miner’s Bridge.

The route then crossed the road before walking up a steady incline to the Llyn firstly passing a waterfall

before coming across the slate mining excess piles near the disused miner buildings.

Next came to a farm building, where this panorama view was taken from.

Lake Elsi is not that much further. This is a view of the Lake from the monument and the next shot is looking back to the path we just walked up.

The return to Betws-y-Coed is through the woodland, with some steep slopes.
