Something different
I was recently given a set of 24 filters, comprising of a selection of colour filters and graduated colour & ND filters, which I decided to try out yesterday on a stroll around Anderwood in the New Forest. I played with a selection of the colour filters with some very different results.
A purple colour filter was used to achieve this look in the first image. Below it is the woodland scene in natural light for comparison.

You might gather from this next shot that the yellow colour filter was used.

Whilst strolling around spotted this one tree amongst others in sunlight.

Dead/dying fern seemed to react well to the colour filters. Last image was shot in natural for comparison.

In addition to using the filters I also played with blurring the trees to give an abstract look to the woodland. This is achieved by hand holding the camera, setting the lens with a large aperture (exposure of about 1 second), and then moving the camera either right to left or upwards whilst the camera shutter is open.

For the next couple I added a warm up filter
