A mixed bag
This post has a mixed bag of images, landscape and wildlife, with last weekend seeing a visit to Portsmouth to watch an FA Cup game. We decided to stay in Portsmouth and visit the Historical Dockyard the day before the game. It was very interesting, and I particularly enjoyed the Mary Rose museum. I managed to get some reasonable photo’s of the two historic warships, HMS Warrior 1860 and HMS Victory, plus the modern frigate HMS Dauntless even though the weather was pretty terrible

On the journey back home, the day after the game, we stopped off at Blashford Lakes in the afternoon. The hides that look over Ibsley water are pretty much standing room only due to a lots of people trying to spot the Franklin’s gull that has been recently sighted, so the best photo opportunities were to be found on the opposite side of the reserve. All 3 bird shots taken at the Woodland Hide.
