Lodmoor Long-Tailed & Radipole Beardy
Last weekend saw a trip to two reserves around Weymouth, Lodmoor RSBP nature reserve and Radipole another RSPB nature reserve that is in close proximity. As you might have guessed from the title I managed to photo a Long-tailed Tit (Aegithalos caudatus) at Lodmoor and semi-decent shots of a Bearded Tit (Panurus biarmicus) at Radipole, a bird I have not had the privilege of sighting for a very long time.

and the Bearded Tit from a distance

and then closer shooting through the reeds

I see you!

Hi Peter:
Thanks for sharing the results of your photowalks with us. Your willingness to get outside despite the cold weather has inspired me.
I went for a short hike yesterday to photograph the recent snowscapes as we had an unusual spot of bright sun. While out, a flock of Cedar Waxwings “performed” for me while feasting on last year’s crabapples.
I posted a few “keepers” on my club’s zenfolio page here:

This month’s club assignment is “Views of winter” so I’ll be making more forays as time permits.

It looks like the inspiration paid off after taking a look at your keepers on your page.
