Feathered Variety Part 2

Here is another collection of the feathered variety of wildlife taken the previous week at Blashford Lakes nature reserve, starting with a Turnstone (Arenaria interpres) in its summer plumage on display outside the Tern Hide, the plumage is a much brighter affair to that of its winter one.

The other birds close to the Tern Hide included a Black-headed Gull (Larus ridibundus).

and a Redshank (Tringa totanus).

There were several Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) just outside the Ivy South Hide, providing the opportunity to shoot both a profile shot and a close up head shot.

and finally spotted this Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) with food in its beak just off the path near the Lapwing Hide.
