Two profiles and a shocking landing
Even though the majority of the last few weekends have been spent shooting macro photo’s, I did take some time out to photo the feathered variety of wildlife instead at Blashford Lakes nature reserve.
Over a couple of trips I managed to get a couple of decent profiles, a Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) and a Shoveler (Anas clypeata), plus this Black-headed Gull (Larus ridibundus), which to me looks as if it has a rather shocked expression on its face as it comes into land on a raft on Ivy Lake.
