Kilwood & Blue Pool
Visited Kilwood reserve & the adjacent Norden reserve on the last weekend of August in the search of the last brood of butterflies & dragonflies. The dragonflies are normally found in the Norden reserve, however this time around did not spot 1 at all, with a lot of the reserve inaccessible due to the plant growth. I did come across a Common-blue butterfly, a Green-veined butterfly and a hoverfly within the Kilwood reserve. All of them drying off after a sharp heavy shower.

Due to the lack of activity, decided to visit for the 1st time the Blue Pool, a close by attraction. The price in my view is a little steep, £5.50 for an adult, if you just wish to walk around the pool like I did. I did not make use of any of the facilities. No trade descriptions the pool is blue.
