Weekend visit to Blashford Lakes
The decision to visit Blashford Lakes on both days this weekend was all down to the weather. The hides proved very good for escaping from the high winds and at times very heavy downpours.
Saturday
The main attraction on the Saturday was the showing of the Egyptian Geese, whose numbers have been increasing over the last few weeks (I counted 13). Again the Geese were located on the right when looking out of the Tern Hide across Ibsley Water, however this time they made their way across to the nearest spit to the hide.
Managed to photograph them in flight and drinking. Plus made a video found at the bottom of this post.

Sunday
The Egyptian Geese were not outside the Tern Hide, although did managed to get a good photograph of this Little Grebe (Tachybaptus ruficollis).
