River Inver and Glencanisp circuit walk
The River Inver and Glencanisp circuit walk starts out at Lochinver, in the west of the Sutherland region of Scotland. As the name of the walk suggests it is circular so you can tackle it clockwise or counterclockwise. Ours was clockwise which takes you along the River Inver, past rapids and a weir.

The path then heads out into the Glencanisp and more barren landscape, affording good views of the Quinag ridge and then the mountains Canisp & Suilven.

and a wide angle portrait.
The classic view is found once you enter Glencanisp Lodge and pass along Loch Druim Suardaiain.
This landscape has Canisp as well as Suilven.
Once past Loch Druim Suardaiain the last stretch back to Lochinver is along a road with few sights to see.
We stayed at the Inver Lodge Hotel, which also offers great views of the mountains Canisp & Suilven, and as luck would have it the sun made an appearance.
A portrait version as well.
