Mount Wank
One mountain close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen must have the funniest name in English, Mount Wank, which of course you have to go and see.
Once again I took the easy route to the top, by cable car!
The top of the mountain is flat with good footpaths and several benches to enjoy the 360 panorama views of the surrounding Alps, including Zugspitze, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. You can also stop at the Wankhaus for refreshments or a meal.
It was a cloudy day so at times you found yourself in the cloud or you caught glimpses of the other mountains through the clouds.
The cloud would occasionally break providing you with impressive views.
Another enjoyable day out.
